1. Bamboo is self-replenishing
The magic of bamboo is that it miraculously sprouts on its own and may never need replanting. Conversely, cotton requires harvesting and replanting each year - which is quite a process.

Bamboo uses one-third of the amount of water cotton demands. Since modern farmers don’t have the luxury of adequate water for their crops, finding a self-sufficient crop is always welcome. While cotton uses over 240 gallons of water to produce one pound of fabric, bamboo requires only 12.
3. Bamboo uses less chemicals
Bamboo’s incredible growing speed and its ability to self-replenish means the plant hardly needs any pesticides or fertilisers. On the other hand, cotton uses about 25% of the world’s chemical pesticides. While great strides have been made to make organic cotton production more environmentally conscious, the process isn’t perfect yet.
4. Softer than cotton
